Historic Sites

After breakfast at Sentido Thalassa Boutique Hotel & Spa set of to Episkopi where you may just pass the British troops on parade.

Head towards Kolossi Castle where you can still witness the remains of an ancient sugar mill and olive press.

Thereafter spend your day exploring the City of Kourion that has been devastated by an earthquake but still houses very interesting structures and features like mosaic floorsRoman baths and the Amphitheatre.

At Kourion discover the Sanctuary of Apollon Ylatis at leisure and on route back to the hotel pop in to see the Neolithic site of Choirokoitia.

A wonderful day trip of some of the histroic Cyprus sites.

TIP

About 9 miles west of Limassol, a fine example of the military architecture, originally constructed in the 13th century and subsequently rebuilt in this present form in the middle of the 15th century.  In the 14th century it came for a few years under the domain of the Kinights of Jerusalem.  Nearby are the ruins of a sugar mill dating to the 14th century.
